Datz Music Lounge closes down
Datz Music Lounge, an all-you-can-eat music subscription service (like Spotify) that launched in the UK in October 2008, has closed down.
There is no official statement from the company behind the service as to its closure, or any news of refunds to those who opted for the year’s downloads for 99 pounds sterling.

Track plays on MySpace Music dropped 20.7% in August compared to July.
This comes after MySpace switched off the auto-play function on its inbuilt players in mid-August. This step was taken as a means to reduce royalty payments that were costing the company an estimated $10m a month.
